Introducing 'Landscape Learning'

What is landscape ecology? How can it inform environmental policy and practice? What are its underlying concepts and theories? What methods and tools does it use and offer?

One of the key aims of Landscape Ecology UK is, "to promote interest, learning and understanding of landscape ecology". With so many different components and dimensions, landscape ecology can be challenging to comprehend coherently, and many practioners may be using concepts and tools from the discipline without even realising it! To better bring landscape ecology into focus, Landscape Ecology UK have just launched our Landscape Learning webpages.

The Landscape Learning pages aim to provide accessible introductions to many aspects of Landscape Ecology, offering answers to questions people might have about the discipline:

With four pages currently, we hope to expand in future, but please do explore what we have for now. If you have suggestions for other pages you'd like to see from us, or maybe if you'd like to contribute something yourself, do contact publicity@iale.uk

Remember, ialeUK offers several other ways to learn more about our integrated and practical discipline, including our Landscape Connections webinars, early career workshops, and other events, all of which membership helps to support.
